Oct 18 - results??

No, of course not! *sigh*
We had a day full of dr's appts today. We had to be at Sick Kids hosp for 11 and then her ped for 2:30. We JUST made it to the ped. We didn't get out of the hosp until 1:30.
Her GI wanted to wait for the results of her breath hydrogen test (lactose intolerance) before she decided what to do. BUT she feels that the drugs are not strong enough and that she will probably either add something in, or change her meds all together. She mentioned prednisone (NO!!!!) and another drug that I can't remember. It is sulfa based and was originally used for something else (arthritis I think) but they got good results with their Ulcerative Colitis patients, so it was used as an IBD drug. She had more blood drawn. They are looking at her inflamatory markers, her liver function, and to see if she is anemic because she was borderline the last time blood was drawn in Aug. She is happy with her growth (4'8" and 77lbs) and said her tummy feels nice and soft.
 Then to the ped.. all the blood work she had done in Sept was normal. The breath hydrogen test was very unusual though. She has been milk and dairy free for a month. Since Sept 13th actually. She had the breath hydrogen test done on Oct 10. She had to fast from 9pm the night before and the test was done at 7am. The reading before the drink of lactose was 69. After the lactose it went down instead of up.. 15, 13, 12. She said that was very unusual. She is getting a second opinion because she has never come across a reading like that. She said according to the test, Devynn is NOT lactose intollerant! BUT she might have a milk allergy, so she is now sending a referral for food allergy testing. She (and I) got her flu shot.
So, we are waiting again.. always waiting. We go back to the ped Nov 19, and I have to call her GI in 3 weeks.
Now to update her symptoms..

Sept 28- Stomach pains all over
Sept 29- Really gassy, and toxic. Diareah x2
Sept 30- Pain in abdomen, under ribs on left side. Stabbing pain. Very gassy, like rotten eggs. Diareah x3
Oct 4- Stomache ache around belly button and lower left
Oct 5- Stomache ache- lower left
Oct 6- Stomache ache- around belly button
Oct 7- Stomache ache, headache
Oct 8- Stomache ache , very gassy, pain all over tummy
Oct 9- Headache
Oct 10- Really gassy, sore stomache before bed. Pain all over tummy
Oct 11- joint pain in r hip. Had a bm, I collected it for testing. Something solid and white in bm. Looked like a mushroom or piece of chalk. Small amount of bright red blood in bm.
Oct 13- gassy all evening, stomache pains in lower ab, below belly buttom and straight across.
Oct 15- stomache ache- everywhere. Gassy. Breaking out in a sweat.
