Pityriasis Rosea

Is the name of the virus that has caused this horrible rash on Devynn. It was confirmed by her derm today. She gave us a script for some cream to help with the itching and has told me to use unscented Aveeno cleanser, and Aveeno skin relief moisturizer cream (navy blue lid) for the itch. There is not much else we can do, other than the antihistamines which she told me to use if I have to. She told me if the rash is not gone completely by the time she is supposed to see the allergist, I should cancel the appt because we won't get an accurate test result. She said it should be gone by the end of Nov, but if there is anything left by the middle of Dec we have to go back. This is a viral rash, and the virus is spread by coughing, sneezing etc, it's airbourne. So, she is to stay away from anyone under 3 mos old and the elderly :(
She also told me the pumpkin allergy is rare, and thats why I have to take the actual pumpkin in. Most allergists don't have the chemical to test on their skin because it is so uncommon.
